Basic Info BioSarah Mann is 24 years-old with long brown hair, blue eyes, and is 5'6'' tall. She comes from the year 1917 in the middle of World War I.
Background
Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, Calgary was the only home she knew. However, her family was of German decent and when The Great War began in 1914, her father grew restless. Her mother had died a long time ago and in 1915, her father left Canada to rejoin the German Army. he was killed at Vimy Ridge. This left Sarah and her younger brother, David Mann, to carry on by themselves.
Sarah was a nurse in military service until her father's allegiance to the Germans became known and she was cashiered. During her time as a military nurse, however, she became addicted to morphine as a way of dealing with the recurring loss in her life (her mother and then her father). She also met a soldier named Sergeant Michael Dunne whom she fell in love with.
When her brother forges a document claiming his is fit for war and ends up getting sent to Europe, Michael promises Sarah he will go and protect David. Sarah, unbeknownst to either man, signs back up into service in Manitoba and gets sent overseas in time for the Third Battle of Ypres. It is here, near Passchendaele, that Sarah finds herself saving as many soldier's lives as she can, but it is hard with the technology and supplies they had.
She comes into the village just at the end of the film.
